HOME

Home. Everyone should have a home where you feel safe with family or by yourself. A home is necessary because it's a shelter for you so you don't have to sit outside in the bad weather. I have two homes, and I love them both because that's what i've lived in for a long time, but one day I might move out of my home and find a new place to live, but that's ok because I will still have what I need like a bed, bathroom, kitchen and family. When I walk into my mom's house I walk right into the kitchen, it usually smells like what we ate last night. My mom's house is cozy and I feel safe and comfortable in it. My dad lives in an apartment, it's small but I like that. When I look out the window I'm high up because we are on the 4th floor, and the height makes it feel comfortable to me. My cats always run up to me when I open the front door and I’m used to that, and I like it. It makes me feel bad when I think about people sitting outside without a home or anywhere to stay. I wish there were more ways to help, but there's not a lot of ways. With covid it's also harder to stay healthy and since it's been really cold this winter people are very cold outside with nowhere to stay. When people are relaxing in their homes they don't even think about the people freezing outside.
