Home Sweet Home
By: Kareena Tom
A house is brick and stone but,
A home is a place where you never feel alone,
With all your favorite items,
From candles to cologne
A home is a safe haven and a comfort zone.
We groan but we’re never alone
We cry and sigh but we never say bye
To our beautiful home.
A home is a place where you feel respected and loved.
Not neglected and judged.
In a cruel world, our home is the only place we can cry
We leave a trace, that no one can erase
Even when we grow old we still remember our memories placed
In our home sweet home.
A Home To Me And You
You may think, every building you see is a home, but,
Home is where your heart blazes with the fire of happiness
Home is the bright light that erases darkness
Home is where elegance has no end
Home is where we live, laugh and love
What does a home mean to me, you ask?
It’s an enchanted chamber that serves me many purposes
It’s a place filled with memories of the ones you cherish
It’s where we come together and bond
It’s where you can feel the essence of warmth
Is yours a home?
Does it have joy?
Can you hear your family laughing?
Can you see them having fun?
If not, then, I disagree.
Walk inside your house,
Do you feel warm and safe?
Do you feel Happy?
Do you remember the memories you made there?
Yes? Then yours is a home.

Tapestry
If I could take a brush and paint the mountains and the moors,
I would splash the hillsides yellow and cover them in gorse.
I'd take the finest needle and the darkest thread of green
And sew a line of bracken along the landscape. In-between

Home sweet home
My home is a place where I can be myself,
And to welcome everybody else.
A place to have fun with family and friends,
Where the fun never ends!
My home is not just walls, roofs and doors,
It’s a place where my family adores.
When there’s a storm,
I can make myself warm.
When I’m sad home is the place to be,
Peaceful, calm.
Nice and clean.
Everybody deserves a beautiful home,
Everybody deserves to call a place of their own.
Everybody deserves a place to stay,
Children deserve somewhere to play.
We could all go ahead and share,
We can all prove how much we care!!
Everybody deserves to spend time with their family,
If we can give them a home, they can stay there happily!
OUR home
My home is a place where I get everything for free,
It’s a place for every animal and every tree
My home is green and blue,
Where people live without saying thank you!
My home is where I live and you do too,
But you do not protect it, is it true?
My home includes woods, hills and ponds
It’s a place where everyone bonds!
My home is getting destroyed and fast,
Everyday it’s getting more and more trashed!
But nobody cares, about my home,
They only care about their loans!
Let’s help make a better home for you and me,
So the next generation will be free!
Home Sweet Home
Home is the place I sow
Home is the place I mow
Home is my first school
It makes me decent and not a fool
Home is where I dream
It makes me shine as a beam
Home is where I learn
It prepares me to earn
Home is where I play
Either with toys or clay
Home is where I worship
To help me sail my ship
Home is where I sleep
Without hearing a single beep
Home teaches me to respect
Without knowing your class or sect
Home is the place I bow
Home is the place I grow

The Beautiful Meaning of Home
Home is where I can stay
It is a place where I can rest after hardwork everyday
Home to me is where I can live happily
It is where I can play games and enjoy myself with my family
I am very thankful to have a place to stay
Where I can count on my family’s support for challenges every day
Home is where my family and I share moments of being happy, stressed and full of sorrow
It is where we can freely express our worries
Home is where we can share tales and let go of stressful flurries
Home gives us a chance to let go of tensions and focus on a better tomorrow
Home is where I took my first steps and said my first word
This can unlock a collage of memories
It is where I can remember how my life become connected in one chord
When I am old, I fall back and recall my life’s stories
When I think of home,
It is where I have blossomed and grown
A home is full of togetherness, not lone
The moral values given by my grandparents and parents have crafted me into who I am in grade 6
This is the beautiful meaning of home
Now let us open light in the tunnel for others
By writing the beautiful meaning of a home
To donate 10 dollars so others can also experience the beauty of a home.

Home, My Life-Changing World
My home is like a merrily palace,
And my family its royal residence,
My home motivates me to do my best,
And with immense confidence
Home is where our story begins,
Its my home that’ll lead me to countless opportunities
It will hold my side throughout my journey
To help me succeed in large quantities
My home taught me some amazing things
Such as good behaviour,
But the most important thing I learned,
Is to rise from my failures,
Our home is our guardian throughout Covid
For some it's heaven, for some it's a barrier
But now for me, my home is my personal mini-world
My School, workplace, restaurant, protecting me from being a Covid-19 carrier
Houses are made of bricks and beams,
But a home is made of hopes and dreams
I can’t imagine living without a home,
Without it, where else would I roam
Home is where one will start from
Home is where one will end,
Home is like a promise,
On which everyone will depend
As I write this poem,
I hope to change one's life
Remove its darkness,
And make it bright
With Everyone’s courage and might,
I’m ready to take away their fright,
To lend them a home,
And provide them with a positive insight
Let’s use this opportunity!
To realize the precious importance of home!
To unfold a new chapter of their life, speak up and be their voice!
Since everyone deserves a safe, respected, loved and memorable home, sweet home!

Home is Not a Place… It’s a Feeling.
By Nishka Bhatt
Locking the doors,
Mopping the floors,
Painting the walls,
Furnishing the halls.
As you can see,
This home might seem thrilling,
But I highly disagree,
One element is missing from this building.
I search for this lost key thinking,
Where can it be?
While walking back,
A sudden thought tracks.
Realizing this home needs some comfort,
Some joy,
Some laughter,
Some love,
The day my family moves in,
Happiness begins.
Years passed and now the whole world is trapped.
We have been hidden and kept.
My home is now my vaccine,
My home is now my mask,
My home is now my escape route,
My home is now my habitat.

Home
Home, A place where I can speak
A place where I don't have to hide
A place that I don't have to seek
A place where I can decide what happens inside
A place that doesn't close, the doors are always open
A place where I am safe
A place where I won’t be forgotten
A place that I can call mine
A place where I can feel free

There’s no place like home
A happy marvellous place
Cheerful and welcoming
It’s those memories made with the ones you love
It reminds you to never forget where you came from.
In tough situations
May my home be my gym
May my home be my restaurant
May my home be my resting place
May my home be my habitat
May my home be my workplace...my school

What is Home
Grade 6
My home, what is it?
A school, a name, a place to live?
Well Home to me is what helps us keep alive,
When there is nothing we have it's where we survive,
It is the place where we can thrive in our lives,
Home is where we build memories,
It is where we are known for centuries,
It is truly the place where we can do things with ease,
Home is the place where we have accomplishments,
Home is the place where we hear compliments,
And if you put a limit to your astonishments,
You will be amazed by your acknowledgements,
Home is a fortress of where your boundaries are endless,
Home is where others make you feel tremendous,
Not because they are jealous,
But because they are loveless,
Home is where we build relationships,
Home is where we there is no dictatorships,
And it is where we have the largest companionship
Most importantly for me,
Home is where I can build my future,
Where is can learn from my mistakes,
And where I can truly be myself

Home sweet home.
It's a place I can see,
My mum, my dad,
And my family.
Ask from people who are homeless
not a place to stay,
Our saying “let's go home”,
Make their hearts blown!
Home is a shelter during every storm
Be it a disease or heat or rain
Our couch is now our throne,
But I am safe in my home.
No one knows when is COVID going to go?
the answer to that is “ I don’t know”
So donate to a place that can make
A place for homeless with steak and pancakes,
Home is a place
Where your heart is.
No matter where you go,
You want to come back to it.

Home Is Speechless
Home is my lovely place,
So it is my comfort base.
Home is where we arrive,
As we survive in it.
Home is where we share with one another,
Where we care for one another.
Home is the place where I learn from my mistakes,
The place where I earn from my mistakes.
Home is my protector, inspector, and reflector for my family, Home is my detector, connector, and sector for my family.
Home is magnificent in its own way,
Home is a munificent gift meant for all.

Home to me
My home is my base,
My favourite place.
I point out that I’m in such a wonderful space.
Where each corner is laced with items I chose to care,
But home is a place I love, so it can be anywhere.
My home is a castle,
A palace with no hassle.
With walls and doors,
With family and much more.
When I think of home,
I think about a place where I’ve grown,
Home is a place where I like to stay,
And eat food and sleep each day.
I like my home,
For many reasons,
Like a fixed puzzle,
With no more pieces.
So near or so far, Wherever you are,
No matter where you choose to roam.
I live and I learn, but I always return,
This is the place I call home!

Home is where I want to be
By Nirel M
Class 6B at W.G Davis
The place I always want to be is at home
It’s a place to make memories,
To put my stuff such as combs
And also to watch documentaries
You can rely on it on every single day
It won’t let you down on any way
A place to play and have some fun
And to make a cinnamon bun
Can you think of a place which is better than home
A place to have space and to roam
To be who you want to be
A place to put your plants or trees
You can be safe here and happy everyday
And be kind to others in every way
A home is where I want it to be
Maybe a place near the ocean or sea
A place where worries get free of
A home that can belong to a her or a his
It’s where we live, laugh and love
Home is truly where the heart is

My Home? Your Home!
By:Aashita Nehra 6B
My home is where i lay,
My home is a safe place to stay,
My home is a workspace.
I am very grateful that i have somewhere to stay,
Where I can rely on my family any day,
And this is why I have become the person I am today.
Some people don’t have somewhere nice to stay,
They don’t have somewhere to lay,
They don’t have a safe place to stay.
They have to live with people walking by,
Who have somewhere to stay,
And when it’s cold and they are all alone.
My home is very special and truly unique,
Everyone deserves a home.
A place that they can call their own…
That is why Home is where i feel happy,
Home is where i feel sleepy,
Home is where i feel safe,
nd Home is where I feel loved.
That is why there are people who are asking us to make poems,
so that other people can have homes!

My Home
Home is happiness, home is love
I know my home like the back of my glove
When i have a frown
Home is where it turns into a crown
whenever I feel stressed
At home i can worry less
Home is my happy place
Home is my workplace

What home is
Home’s many things in one place
Home may be your palace
Home may be your safe house
Home may be your playhouse
Home can be a headquarters or a cage for some people
It can be a shelter from the outside world
This is what home is
We all need a place to rest after an exhausting day
But some people don’t have the money to have a nice place
When winter comes or rain they don’t have a cozy place
They only have a blanket and a cardboard box to protect themselves
We can all agree that everyone needs a home just like us
So we need to do our part
and help them out
