What Is A Home to Me

A home to me is a place to relax, where there is no pressure once I walk through the door. Home is a safe and cozy place, like my couch or my pillow. Home is when my pets, my siblings, and my parents make me happy. Home is when I can talk to my parents and siblings no matter what is going on. Home is the feeling when I enter the door and feel like I have nothing to worry about. When I go home, the delicious smell of my dad's food is there, like the pasta he makes or the scent of my mom's cheesy lasagna. Home is when, at dinner, my mom, dad, siblings, and I talk and share our days; it always feels like a safe place. Home is when I walk in the door after a tiring day of school and the scent of my candle takes me away, the scent of passion fruit greets me at the door. A tropical vacation, an escape, that is what home feels like to me.
