What my home means to me

My home means a lot to me. I think of it as heaven. I think of it as my happiness. It is my shelter, a comfy place to relax in. I spend my summer giggling on my trampoline in my backyard with my family. I have had a bee hive in my front yard, I have had a squirrel on my fence, and a skunk in my backyard. I am fine with it because all animals are welcome to explore my backyard and small animals can live there. Home, to me, isn't just a place with walls and a roof- it's a feeling I carry with me. It's the warmth of familiar voices drifting through out the house. I can be completely myself without pretending or explaining. No matter where I go, home is the space that reminds me of who I am, where I have been, and that I always have somewhere to return to. It is my ecosystem with a mix of green spaces and small natural habitats supporting local bird species, insects, and native plants. This unique combination highlights the importance of preserving small ecosystems. I love my home.
