Have you ever thought about what home means to you??? Or have you ever thought of a second meaning of home??? Well, today maybe you will start thinking about it. However, for me I haven't thought about it until this assignment existed. Some people just don’t realize that a home is a privilege and are taking it for granted. So, the meaning of home to me is that it has love, can be anywhere, and the feeling of belonging . To begin with, the meaning of home to me is that it has love. What is a home without love??? It’s basically a house . This is because a home with love there is a feeling of safety . For example, at home when I was crying my mom would comfort me and help me calm down. Also, another feeling is that with love you feel happy and peaceful . Home should feel as warm as the sun. However, it is ok to argue sometimes because of a disagreement. This is one thing that home means to me . Secondly, another meaning of home to me is that it can be anywhere . For example, if someone doesn’t have a physical home but thinks a certain place is their home like a store, then that’s alright. As long as they think mentally that it’s their home it can be their home . However, home can also be a physical home like a house with things in it. As you can see, another meaning of home to me is that it can be anywhere like physically and mentally . Furthermore, a third meaning of home to me is to belong . I know this because when you belong in a home you also feel safe and calm just like when there is love in a home . When you feel safe and calm, you don’t have to worry about people hurting your feelings or hurting you physically . Also, you’ll feel protected. When my brother talks to me it’s like an achievement. This is because he is not on his phone and is actually talking to me!!! Another thing is that belonging in a home isn’t just people like parents, siblings, and grandparents including you in games and conversations. It’s also being happy when they talk to you and spend time with you. Also, it is like a classroom. It’s a safe environment. Therefore, when you feel like you belong, you feel safe, calm, and happy . Overall, the meaning of home to me is that it has love, it can be anywhere, and feeling like you belong . When you feel loved at home it’s calm and peaceful . Although, it’s alright to argue once in a while . Also, a home can be both physical and mental . Physical home to me I think of it like a house with rooms and furniture in it. But on the other hand, mental home because the brain might think a certain place is your home . Then it can be. Another thing is that belonging in a home no one is going to hurt you. In addition, people with homes are really lucky because just as we said in class, not everyone has a home . In conclusion, home can’t be replaced by physical objects. Like if you replace a pencil with an eraser. It will change the whole purpose of that object because one writes and one erases. So, home to me is that I feel loved, it can be anywhere like physically and mentally, and finally feeling like I belong .
