The feeling of comfort and safety

To me home is the glow of the fireplace and the warm feeling of comfort and joy. Home is a comforting place where my worries disappear. some days I feel like I want to disappear but at home those feelings go away. When I smell my mom's homemade meals, I feel warm inside like my dog has been lying on my lap for an hour. Stepping into my home is like stepping into a warm hug; it is comforting like a big soft blanket. When I lay on my bed, I remember all the wonderful memoires me and my family have shared in this house. When I am down, remembering those times helps me to lighten up. When I hear the tiptoeing of my cat coming down the stairs, I know that there is someone waiting for me and that makes me feel a great feeling of joy. All these feelings and sounds I feel and hear help me to know that my home is my home. Home to me means a place where you are safe and comfortable.
