Home is Like a Haven of to be Yourself

Home, that's a word that can mean many different things. For some people, home is a place with food and shelter, for others it's a place to be with their loved ones, but for me, home is a place to be myself, like a sanctuary to protect me from the harsh world that we live in. At home, I can be whoever I want to be, and live the way my heart desires. Out in the world, I face judgement and unkindness, but at home all of that washes away like the waves on a beach and makes me embrace who I truly am. Home is where my family is, and being near them creates a blossom of joy in my heart, as through every step of the way my family has always embraced and supported my true self, flaws and all. Without them, I would never be able to truly reach my full potential. Home has always been a feeling for me, not just a place. It was where my first memories of childhood were made, both good and bad, shaping me into the person I have become today. I truly am blessed for the prospect that I have a home to go back to, no matter how far I go, or how distant I may seem.. Millions of people don’t have that privilege, and in that case I really am grateful. The freedom and pleasure that my home brings me is incredible. At home, my creativity has no limits, and no one can hold me back from becoming the person I was always meant to be. This is what home really means to me.
