What a Home Is

A home is a warm and cozy place where you are loved and feel safe. A home has a soft bed and fluffy pillows. When I get home, I smell my Mom cooking in the oven. When I come back from hockey practice, I smell milkshakes at night! I hear the hockey game at night when I'm sleepy. I hear the birds chirping when I wake up. I hear my Mom’s podcast when I get back from school. When I wake up, I smell tasty cinnamon buns with frosting. And eggs and bacon and orange juice! Home is a place where you live and where you sleep and eat. I love my home, not because of the toys and video games, but because my Mom, my Dad, my brother Evan, my two sisters Leah and Gracie, and my two dogs Buddy and Sadie are in my house with me.
