My Forever Family

For me, home isn’t just a shelter. It’s more. I remember a day in kindergarten when I was feeling down, and my brother made funny impressions and voices until I forgot all about it. Seven years later, it’s still funny and he is still the brother I would choose again if I had a thousand more lives. Then there’s my sister, who can sometimes be unbearable, yes, but she’s still the nicest and funniest person I know right now. When I’m bored, she’s the one who wants to watch a movie with me. When I wanna show her something, she’s actually interested not waiting to leave. She makes me laugh, and at the right time, she makes my day better. Then my mom: every time I come back from school, I smell her cooking, and it gets rid of all the weight on my shoulders. When I wake up sick, I always see a tray with a pill, water, hot chocolate, and a blanket. Then my dad: every day he makes me laugh and wants to hear about my day with joy. He works endless hours to keep food on my plate, a roof above my head, and everything I could ask for.
