WHAT DOES HOME MEAN TO ME

My home is centered around the kitchen. A well running kitchen means a cozy and safe place for me. I see the kitchen with shelves full of ingredients like rice, soup, pasta, noodles, and chicken masala. I also see a picture of my Grandpa on the wall right next to the kitchen. This brings back so many happy memories. I feel happy, grateful, cozy and safe in the comfort of my home. When I snuggle in my blanket, on a cold winter morning, I don’t want to be anywhere else. My soft toy, a teddy bear, brings me all the warm feelings. I smell the freshness of apples coming from the plug-in room freshener. It calms me down when I come back from school. I also smell pasta and it makes me hungry and fulfilled at the same time. Hearing the dripping of water from the tap, opening and closing of cabinets and fridge ticking are all very familiar noises that make this house my home. The house really feels like home with my family around. When my 2-year-old sister hugs me I feel loved. I play Snakes and Ladders and Checkers, Guess Who,and I play Legos with my brother over the weekend. My family loves me and I love them back dearly. This makes my house, my home.and I really love them so much.
