The Meaning of Home
What does home mean to you? To me, home means a safe, comfortable place to live in. Home means anywhere you have your family or loved ones because, as they say, “it’s not the house that makes a home, it’s the people in it.” in my home I play fun games with my family like Uno or Monopoly, and that is extremely important to me because it means I can spend time with them. Home also means somewhere you can be yourself instead of following the latest trends. To me, home is the smell of vanilla and my mom's cooking every day. Home sounds like my dad’s shark shows and my dog barking. Temperature wise, my house feels cold, but emotionally my home feels warm and welcoming. My home tastes like my mom’s amazing cooking since she often makes delicious food in the kitchen. Home looks like my dog's black short fur everywhere, and papers everywhere. In my opinion, home can mean a lot of different things for different people, whether it is the smell/taste of amazing food, the sound of animals or different shows, the feeling of being safe and having a safe place to go home to after a long day, and the look of a home being lived in.
