Meaning of Home

I like the place that I call my home, It is peaceful, cozy and always warm. It is where the closest people to me Live together safe and free. When I come from the school, It waits for me with open arms. And whispers: “Remove your jacket and backpack, Come on in! Happy to have you back!” Strong walls, safe roof, Bright windows and entrance door. Rooms, tables, chairs and much more, Soft sofa and warm carpet on the floor. Family photos with brown old frames, Shelves with books of different names. Boxes with the animals, dolls, and other toys, Reminds me of the former joys. Shadows of lights that are going thinner, And my mom is calling me for dinner. The smell of the soft, fresh bread, Feels like a haven in my head. The taste of sweet birthday cake, Chocolate milk mustaches that I make. Holidays with my family and friends, I wish it would never end. Sometimes it is messy and loud, And there are some things I am not allowed. I still love my home, you see, Because it’s the perfect place for me!
