Home For You

Home for you might not be your house. Family for you might not be people you're related to. Home for you might be school or your friend's house. What matters is you feel safe. Family for you might be a friend who listens or maybe even that friend's parents. What matters is they love and care for you. Home for you might be your house. What matters is you feel comfortable and happy. Family for you might be those you're related to. What matters is you feel respected and appreciated. Christmas might not be the happiest day for you. On your birthday, you might feel alone. Maybe at Christmas, you'd rather be celebrating somewhere else. Or maybe you feel just fine. On your birthday, there might not be a celebration. Or maybe there is. When you lose your tooth, there might not be a coin under your pillow. Or maybe there is. When Mother's Day arrives, you might not have someone to celebrate. Or maybe you do. Home for you might not feel safe. Home for you might be scary. Home for me is safe but home for you might be different. It's okay if you have found family. It's okay is you don't have a house, because Habitat for Humanity will always try to help!
