Home

I thought home was a place. When I left my home in Calgary, I thought I'd never have a home like that, But I realized that home is not the place, it’s the people, When I think of my home, I think love, acceptance, empathy, excitement, warmth, pride, and more, When I think of a house, I think hollow, no love, no one, cold, endless walls with no personality, When I am at home, I see all our snowboard gear on the hook, I feel pride from my family when I succeed, I smell my family cooking our traditional, homemade, meals, I taste ice cream in my mouth while we are all watching a show, I hear birds chirping in the backyard. At my home there’s everything I need like my adorable little sister, my empathetic and amazing parents, my cozy little Guinea pigs, and most importantly, LOVE. If I did not have these people in my life, I would not have a very exciting one.
