A House Is Not a Home

A house is not a home, and I will show you why. As you pass through the door, you enter the hallway. A house has a hallway and so too does a home but, in a home, there are memories, feelings of welcome, people to greet you and love. In a house the kitchen has a stove, maybe an oven and could have a bunch of cupboards too but in a home, there is the smell of love and food, the warmth makes you smile with joy as you prepare for dinner with your family. After dinner you go to the living room to relax, you lay on the couch and turn on the tv. You watch with your family then play for a while but in a house, it would just be an empty room, just you, watching tv. Why, you ask? Because a home is not just a building it is in your heart. Then it’s time to sleep, you go upstairs to your bedroom, get changed and go to sleep. You hug your stuffies and before you know it’s morning. You go to the bathroom to brush your teeth and freshen up. After you go downstairs to the kitchen and have your breakfast, it's nice outside, so you decide to take a walk, you go out and see all the different houses, some of which have turned into a home, and some are still a house. I hope this paragraph of mine has shown you the difference between a house and a home. And remember a home is in your heart where your family is and where loved ones are. Thank you for taking the time to read my paragraph. I hope you are having a wonderful day, and I hope you keep having even better days!
