Home, a place of love and happiness
Home is where my family is, where everyone is safe together. Home is where ideas and stories are shared, nothing is bottled up. Home is where I can hear my dog jumping up and down when I walk in the door. Home is where I can see the joy in everyone's smile, everyone is happy to be there. Home is where the holidays are filled with lots of love and joy, they always feel complete. Home is where I hear the joy in my brother’s and parents’ laughter. Home is where I can smell my dad’s bacon and eggs on a Saturday morning, and feel my mom’s warm hugs. Home is where I feel comfortable and free. It is where I can share my emotions and not feel ashamed. Home is where memories are shared, the good, the bad, and the funny ones too. Home is where I can hear my brother running around the kitchen, dressed up as his favourite superhero, pretending to save the world. Home is where I can smell the home cooked meal coming from the kitchen when it's time to eat. Home is where I feel warm and cozy, never cold and distressed. To me, home isn't just a building with a roof on top, it's a place where loved ones are, where your thoughts and ideas aren't just hidden away, where you know you're safe and cared for. It’s where everyone is treated with love.
Home is where everyone should feel cherished and appreciated, everyone deserves a home.
