Home is made of love

“A house is made of walls and beams, a home is made of love and dreams.” There are many other quotes about home. For me, home is at my grandma’s house. I can be with my family, my best friend, and I can go to the swimming club in the summer. Today I will be talking about these three points. Every summer my family stays at my grandma’s house in Crescent Beach. We eat dinner together outside almost every night. One night my cousin Frankie and I went swimming in the ocean. Usually no one goes swimming because you can get Swimmer's Itch. But that day we really didn’t care, we were having one of the best days of our lives. Frankie showed me to live my life as well as I can. My Grandma is very supportive, kind, and thoughtful. After I go to competitive swimming she makes me hot chocolate! I love her so much and I’m very grateful to have her as my grandma. We’re outside on my best friend Berkeley’s trampoline with soap and water balloons and the sprinkler running underneath. Last summer Berkeley and I made a fort on the top of my grandma’s shed. We spent at least a week trying to make it comfortable and cozy. There’s something in us that makes us happy when we’re together. Our friendship is big. I need her and she needs me and that's why Berkeley is my best friend and she always will be. Racing across the pool you hear faint cheering as you swim. You reach the end of the pool first. Last summer my sister was a leader. A leader helps the coaches coach the kids to see if they can be good coaches. The coaches improve your swimming day by day! Home for me means to be with my family, my best friend, and going to the swimming club. These three things make me feel happy and form a smile on my face.
