When I Think of Home
When I think of home,
I think that I am safe and loved, warm, happy, and joyful
My home is like a thick blanket that covers my family
When I enter my home,
I see my beloved family and light blue walls and my bedroom
My home is like the endless sky where eagles soar
When I enter my home,
I smell lavender perfume and delicious food cooking
My home is all the marinating spices of my mom’s love
When I enter my home,
I hear people chatting, walking, jumping, and running, the TV roaring, and the water boiling
My home is like a base that blocks all the howling wind
I remember all the great times I have had here.
When I remember all those people who don't have a home it makes me want to help.
All those people are so very cold outside.
I lay down in bed looking straight up.
I think that I am so lucky to have a home.
I wish that everybody could be so lucky.
Everyday I try my best to pray for all the people that don’t have homes.
And every second I try to be grateful that I have one.
