The meaning of home

Home can mean lots of different things to different people. In your home there can be happy and sad things. In my home it is happiness, joy, laughter and fun, but every home is different. The meaning of home to me means safety, fun and childhood. Fun plays a big role in my home because there is always something fun that is going on in my home. For example, there is always laughing, playing fun board games and hanging out with family and friends! Fun makes me happy and I always feel like I am home when I am happy and having lots of fun! Fun provides amusement and enjoyment for my family! My house is very fun to me, and if I did not have fun in my home I do not think my home would be the same. Safety plays a big part in my house because I can have safety with my family and I can feel like I can talk to my family about things, and still feel safe. When I think of safety, love and trust comes to my mind because when I know I am loved by my family I feel safe and safe makes me feel at home. I also feel safe when I have trust. I have a lot of trust with my family. I have a lot of trust with my family because I feel like I can talk to them about anything and they will still love me, and that makes me feel safe. When I think of safety I think of home, I think of home because when I am home I feel safe with everyone around me and I am in my home a lot because I live there. For some people school could feel like home to them and that might be where they feel safe because they might have teachers they can talk to about their problems. They might have friends they can trust and it makes them feel safe. Safe is a meaningful word and to me it means home but it can mean something very different to you! Childhood is a part of my home too. When I think of childhood I think of all the memories I had when I was little. Childhood makes me think of home because my whole life I have been in the same home. So it makes me think of home! For example when I was around 4 I had a bubble bath in my parents big bathtub and my aunt was watching me because my parents were not home, then I put too much water in the tub and it overflowed! We had to get a guy to come in and fix the ceiling because the water had leaked down to the main floor in my kitchen. That is a memory that happened in my house that I remember to this day. Now that I am older I laugh about it because I think that it is pretty funny. So when I think about it, it makes me think about my childhood. My childhood was pretty exciting and fun, because I was an active little girl and I was always outside playing with my brother. When I think of childhood I also think about my dogs who passed away about 2 years ago. I think of my dogs because I grew up with those dogs and they were a big part of my family. I loved my childhood and I still do! In conclusion, the meaning of home means feeling safe, creating lots of fun memories, and having amazing times as a child. When I put all that together it is about family to me because I feel safe around my family, have fun with my family, and as a child I created a lot of memories because I had my family to share it with! That is what home means to me but everybody's meaning of home is different!
