What Home Means to Me

A home is a place you can call your own. No matter where I am, my home is my family. No matter big or small I will always feel calm. The place I call home may not be a home at all. But no matter where I am, my family is there to make me feel loved and accepted, no matter the day or the way. My home is a place for all big or small. I love my home from wall to wall. A home is somewhere where all will be loved, welcome and safe, a home is somewhere that can’t be replaced. A house may just be a place at first, but then you learn home is not just a word. You look, play and learn things too, that's what makes your heart fill with love or blues. Home is a place for all to be safe.It makes you smile, it makes you laugh, it makes the feeling of home last. Through good and through bad a home is a place that makes fun and memories. A home is a place where enemies become friends. A home is a place that makes you feel welcome through good and through struggle. A home is a place where you are happy and sad, but most of all home is a feeling, one good or bad, home is a place that people should have. So please as you read this poem think of the people who have nowhere to call their own. And join us on his fight to make things better . Help share this feeling of safety and love. So many have so little. Please be grateful for all you have and give a little back, for so little could touch so many families without much.
