The Meaning Of Home

To other people, my house is the same as the house next to it. But to me, my house is so different. It isn’t just brick walls and a roof, it's also my home. My answer to the question ‘what does home mean to you is a simple one. To me home is a place where you are loved, a place where you feel safe and happy, and a place to rest and make memories. I think it is so important for everyone to have a home of their own because everyone deserves to make memories with their families. When you make memories in a house, it becomes your home and what is so sad is that still today, in the 21st century, so many families can’t afford a house of their own. Since families can’t afford safe and decent housing, they can’t have a home and because of that, so many people and their families don’t get the chance to make memories. Habitat for Humanity has helped so many families across Canada and around the world. Families are given the chance to live in safe, affordable housing and make those memories that last a lifetime, just like I have at my house.
