Meaning of Home

When I think of home, I never see a building, house, apartment or cabin, but home to me is knowing I’m safe, sharing memories and knowing I’m with my family. Home to me is knowing I’m safe. I know that I am safe because when there’s a thunderstorm I can rely on my older sister to always set up a light and open the box for Monopoly so that we can play together. Knowing that I am safe are the times when my mom and I are going on the train and my mom is holding my hand so the crowd of rushing people doesn't make me fall down. I always remember when I was safe. When I think of home I see my family. When I feel alone I remember the times my mom’s cuddling and my mom squeezes me. I know I'm loved. I can always remember the time my mom spent so much time making dinner for my sister, my dad and I. When I can’t fall asleep I ask my mom to come in and she always will give me a kiss. I always think my family is home. When I see my home I see a line of all sorts of memories. I can always remember the memories that my family and I share, like one time my dad and sister came to this river view park, dad's mini grill was set up, we made some burgers and went fishing. There was also a time when my grandma got my sister and I so many gifts for Christmas we were so happy to open them. There are so many memories that I can keep. I wish people to be able to be safe , share memories and be with their family in an affordable home each month.
