What is Home to Me

Home is not a building but a feeling. This feeling is different for everyone. For me home is where I feel safe, calm, and happy. At my home everyone is welcome. It makes me sad that many people do not have a place to call home. That reason alone is why we need to work together. Together we can make a change. We need to be more grateful for what we have. It does not matter how big, small, or tall your home is. A home is a home. We must be grateful and welcome everyone. The feeling of being able to say ‘’yay I get to go home’’ is amazing and everyone should be able to say that. Home is a concept not a thing having a home is not a right, but it should be one. Some people sleep in their cars, some people can afford a car, so they sleep in the street. This is unacceptable and I hope my words can make a slight change in a positive direction. Emme Oliver
