Our Eternal Home
Our eternal home in heaven,
The one God's given to us.
We know He's there,
No doubts anywhere,
But as we wait,
He’s given us a house.
These houses we have on earth,
Are a blessing, not a curse.
These houses quite diverse,
We can turn into our homes.
These homes can be filled with peace,
Laughter, and family,
One or another, you chose cheerfully!
With a overflowing joy,
It doesn't matter,
Girl or boy!
This blessing belongs to all,
BIG, medium, or small.
A home is a shelter,
A home’s a safe place,
With never ending grace,
And a kind and loving face.
A home is deserved,
It can not be served,
It is made, love on love,
Piece by piece.
My house is white,
But my home, it shines bright!
The laughter inside and the joy,
What a sight!
My home welcomes all,
Summer, winter, spring, or fall.
Dinner, breakfast, lunch,
We can share a meal.
Happy, sad or nervous,
It doesn’t matter how you feel!
My family can give a helping hand,
We’ll try to make it very grand.
Our house has generosity,
If you come inside then you can see.
Your house is made of wood,
And your home maybe could,
But home is a better thing,
A place deep in your heart.
A house is a building,
A home is a feeling,
It can’t be built with brick.
A home’s a place for your dad,
Your sister, or for when you're sad.
It’s a place for your brother,
Your mother,
Or where a relative could visit.
Our eternal home in heaven,
The one God’s given to us.
We know He’s there,
No doubts anywhere.
But as we wait,
He’s given us a… family,
Some friends, love, and many other things
To put into one feeling, one place, our home on earth.
