What Home Means to Me

For me, home is my happy place. It’s a place for me to feel safe, loved and comfortable. A home isn’t just four walls and a roof, it’s a place that can hold many memories. Everyday when I walk into my home after a day of school, it is my place where I can relax and chill out. When it turns to night, it’s a place where I can rest my head and snuggle up in my warm bed. Home can be anywhere because for me as long as I'm with my family, I am home. Home is more of a feeling than it is a place. To me, you don’t have to have a big house or a small house, in my opinion you just have to have your family by your side. A house is just a building until a family fills it with love and happiness. I am grateful to have a home because I know not everyone in this world is not lucky enough to have their own place to live. I think everyone deserves to have a place they can call their own. Every person deserves a home they can just relax in and enjoy their life. Every kid also deserves a place to feel safe and to just enjoy their childhood. Home is a shelter, but it is more than that to anyone who has ever had one. It is where you play, rest, laugh, eat and share life with family, friends and even your pets. I am thankful for my home and for the family that shares it with me each day. Everyone deserves a home to come back to at the end of their day because there is no place like it!
