The Meaning of Home

Many might believe that home is a place, but to me it was more of a feeling. A home might be inside a house, but the two are still different. While a house is just a place, a base to feel safe, a home is where you can feel happiness and joy. Knowing that you can always be yourself, not needing to pretend to be someone else. The feeling of being cared for, loved for, and safe. When I come home, my cats are always there to welcome me back, and seeing them makes me feel happy. When I go to the couch to relax and eat some snacks. Home is where I first learned to talk, to play, to have fun, to rest, and everything that makes me the person I am today. The address of my home might change throughout life, but the happy memories will always stay with you, as you travel through your own journey. But I realize that many people don't have a home, they don't have the same happiness as me. Some might have a house, but not a home. While others, might not have a house, but they do have a home. I feel sad for them, as I realize how I am very lucky to have both. I hope that everyone will find a home, because each and everyone of us deserves one. Everyone who does have a home, you must realize that you are a very privileged person, and you should be grateful for what you have. A house is a place, where you live. But a home is the feeling of safety, love, care, and joy. Two words; one with a big meaning, and one like an empty bucket.
