The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home By: Asaad Ms.Lollar’s Grade 4 Detective Agency People build houses for living, and to protect themselves. Houses are not just windows, doors, or house numbers. They are daily life and families live together. The meaning of home is where you feel you belong, where there is entertainment and it’s a safe place. Entertainment is very important because it’s all the games and fun a family has in a home. For example, in my family almost every night we play cards. We also sometimes play a game called Hedbanz. But every family has a different entertainment. A home is also where you belong because it has items that belong to you, and what makes everyone happy. If someone is sad, they might say they miss home. Home is where everyone is a lot of the time. Being safe is also very important for a home. Not everybody has a bed to sleep in at night. Your family also makes you safe. Maybe there’s a spot you go to when you’re scared which makes you feel safe. Having a home is very important for living. I am very grateful for having a place to live in like home.
