Meaning of Home

What home means to me isn’t just a place where we live. Of course, some people don’t have homes, and we often take them for granted. But to me, a home isn’t just four walls and a roof-It’s a place where we grow up, a place where we shelter, a place that is safe- a place where we can truly call home. Home doesn’t have to be a large, fancy building. Home can be anywhere that makes you feel welcomed and safe. I believe we shouldn’t take homes for granted because they offer us so much-shelter, a warm place to sleep, and a place to live and thrive. Home is where all memories are made. Your first steps, your first words. Everything counts when it comes to homes. I believe everyone deserves a home, a chance to have a roof over there head, a permanent place to stay. Homes are important because we use them to shelter from rain, snow, the cold, and any dangers. And anyone who doesn’t have a home, doesn’t have a safe place to shelter. My home to me is important because It’s where my family is, a place I know like the back of my hand, and because I know it’s a safe place. I’m very grateful for my home because without it, I would be cold, hungry, and no place for shelter. So, I believe that everyone deserves a chance. A chance to have a full belly, a warm bed, and a roof over their head.
