Home To Me Is Family

Home to me is family, the smell of my mom`s cookies baking in the oven, the taste of the chocolate chips after mom`s cookies are done. Home is the sound of my dad crunching on popcorn while watching a movie with me and my sister. The love of me and my sister hugging. The sound of my cat purring while I pet her. Home is where I feel safe, loved, encouraged and more. Me, my sister, my dad, and my mom are just like a ham and cheese sandwich. Mom and dad are the bread, I`m the cheese and my little sister Norah is the ham. Me and my sister have a lot in common. We both like playing hockey, painting pictures and doing gymnastics. We sometimes get in fights but we love each other either way. Where I live is so much fun! My best friends live really close, one right next to me and one down the road. Allison and Lily are the best friends I could ever wish for. Without Allison and Lily my home would not feel like home at all. Home isn't just the four walls around you and a roof over your head. Home is where your family and friends are. Home is not a house. Home is where you feel safe. Be grateful if you have a house because some people live under bridges and in sheds. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people who don`t have homes buildings to live in just like you and me. I love you Habitat for Humanity.
