Habitat for Humanity is a housing and building organization found by Millard and Linda fuller in 1976. Millard and Linda made Habitat for Humanity for families that need homes and food. Did you know that Habitat for Humanity has built 78 homes in Grey Bruce since 1987? When you buy the house, they give you a 20 year free mortgage. The first Habitat for Humanity home was built in Owen Sound in 1988. The Habitat for Humanity homes are important because they help people and families that are in need of a home, food and a safe place to live and it's affordable.
