The smell of the tasty treats my Mom bakes with glee instantly makes me happy. Home is a place with hot cocoa in a mug and fun stories we hear as my family and I laugh sitting on a rug. Home is a safe cozy place with beds and blankets covering me and keeping me warm on a cold freezing night. Home is a place with a crackling fireplace with warmth and relaxation and worries run out of sight. My friends and I laugh, sing and run around, playing delightfully in my backyard. We splash in the pool and float on our backs while looking up at the sky, and staring at the cool shapes that the clouds make as they float by. When I am at home I know I am safe and protected, wrapped in love and joy with a cozy embrace. I can laugh and cry in this safe, happy place. I can be myself without anyone judging me, I can dream as high as the universe would go. Being myself gives me my own happy glow. Home is a place to make loads of happy memories every second, every minute and each moment of the day. Home makes our hearts happy and brighter as the years go on. Home is where my heart will always be and stay. Home is where the heart is, not just a building but much more than that. It's a prized possession too special and valuable to compare. Home is my favorite place to be. That's what home means to me.
