What Home Means To Me

Home is waking in the morning To the bright sun coming up, Laughter in the living room And fresh coffee in a cup. As I walk into the warmth, I see my joyful family. My brother and my parents Is what home means to me. Home is where I feel happy It’s a place where I am safe. Somewhere cozy I can count on To put down my head tonight. I know that I am loved When I hear the floorboards creak. Sharing meals around the table Is what home means to me. Home is love and tradition It’s what my family likes best. My blanket and my soft bed Is my favourite place to rest. Having a home to come to And a wonderfully full plate Will make us feel connected To have the best possible life.
