Home Is Where the Heart Is

Home is not place it’s a feeling . It’s where you’re loved, accepted and is where you belong. Home is where you took your first steps, said your first words and started your life. After a long day, you always know that you have a warm home to come back to. You can go to thousands of places but your home is where you come back to. Your home may change over time but how it makes you feel will never change, because it will always be in your heart . Home is where you have a roof over your head to protect you from the rain and the snow. It’s where you cuddle up and read a book and where you enjoy a home cooked meal. It’s where you can laugh with your family, where you’re safe and where you’re warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It’s where you feel happiness every day, where you learn, make mistakes and feel pride in your accomplishments. It’s the reason you know that you are lucky to have somewhere to be with the people you love. This is what home means to me. The people in your family in a space where you feel safe and loved. A place where you’re happy all day long. Home is about the walls and the structure itself but its also about the people that you love and where your happy and safe with them. Your home can be two things. It can be a structure that keeps you safe from danger and it can be where you’re with the ones you love like your friends and your close ones. But home to me is both, where your safe and with the people you love the most. That’s why home is so special to me.
