What Home Means to Me

Home to me is a place where me and my family live. It is a place where we spend time together, have great memories and have adventures together. Home is a safe place where I can be myself. I feel comfortable when I am at home and I can feel the warmth of home inside my nerves. Home is like a pleasant snuggly blanket where I can see my family, a roof over my head and things that make a home. I also see pictures on the walls that always reminds me of the memories and fun we had at home.. I hear my family and hear them talking about their favourite memories at home. I smell the aroma of food coming from the kitchen, the food smells like the food at a restaurant. I can taste the delicious food that my mom made from the kitchen. Home isn’t just a place to stay, Home is a safe spot where I can do anything! A home can be messy or clean, it just depends on your opinion and your style. Home is like a protector, in fact it is. It protects you from tornados, storms, the cold, tsunamis, etc. It is also just like a metal shield, strong and safe. It is not just a home that makes a home, it is the people inside it. Home is where I feel happy, confident, creative, calm, and many more. When I think of home, I think of a peaceful and welcoming haven. Having a home is the best! I am so thankful and grateful I have a home to live in, and a lovely family who cares! I am also thankful for Habitat for Humanity for giving homes to the people and families who really don’t have homes to live in!
