What Home Means To Me

To me home is not just a building that you sleep and eat in. To me a home is a place where you should feel safe and comfortable. Home is a place that you make memories in, and share love and laughter. Home is a place where you can be yourself and feel special. To me, a home should be a place that you look forward to after a long day of being away. In a home you should be able to have comfort when feeling down. I have my wonderful mom and dad, and a sister I love playing with even if she is five years younger than me. I also have a great older brother who is five years older than me. He can't stop talking about school and teaches me some slightly harder math than I already know. I love my family, and I feel others should love their family instead of disliking them. In my home my family has fun during the weekends by playing a game called Mahjong, having dance parties in the dark as well as singing, laughing, or even just talking about random things after my mom makes a delicious supper. To me, a home should be a place where you are away from danger, and have shelter in. Also, to me you shouldn't feel that you will be judged when talking about personal things. You should be pumped to talk with family, rather than despising it. In your home, you should be glad when you're around your family, not worried, angry, or stressed. To me in a home the people in it should be the ones who you trust, and not the ones who cause you anxiety or fear. This is what home means to me.
