The Difference Between A House And A Home

In a home, I see the happiness in people’s eyes. Together as a family, we rise. In a house, I see the empty rooms. Without my family, I’m not in the mood. In a home, when my mom makes something new in the kitchen, we ask for the recipe and listen. In a house, I hear the loud birds chirping in my empty house, but I'm quiet as a mouse. In a home, I taste the delicious food that my mom makes every day. I love the food in every way. In a house, I taste all the ordered fast food. I think I’m on the moon. In a home, I smell the delicious brownie that me and my mom made with love and care. When we took it out of the oven, we would enjoy and share. In a house, I smell the past of the people who lived here last. In a home, I feel my culture wrap around my home to make it even stronger. I feel free to do anything that makes me happy. In a house, I feel all sad and alone, because nobody is there to say “hello”. I love my home because I feel warm and cozy and because there is a roof over my head. My family is there to help me when I need something. I get cooked food that will keep me healthy, I get clothes that make me comfortable for the weather, and I get supplies that make me able to do simple things such as drawing, writing, and colour. I also love to spend time with my family on a daily basis. Some of my favourite activities to do with them include playing Monopoly, watching funny movies, going shopping for new clothes, talking about something interesting, going to the arcade, and playing fun games such as air hockey, go kart, and playing indoor golf. My home is a place where I get to express myself.
