Home Is Where My Heart Is

Home is where my heart is, A place where I belong. A place that I look forward to being, All day long. A place where I feel joyful. A place filled with songs. A place full of memories that I always bring along. Home is where my heart is, Where I learn, laugh, and play. A place that I can be myself, no matter what people say. Home is by the fire, on a cold winter day Sipping hot chocolate And watching my brothers play. Home is with my family, with whom I like to stay, right before I go to bed, that's when I pray. When I think of home, I think of my cozy bed That helps to keep me warm and safe All through the night. My home stands tall and strong In rain, wind, or snow. No matter what the weather, I know that’s where I’ll go. I’m so glad to have a home, That's safe, and warm, and dry I know that I’m very lucky. I’m thankful to Habitat for Humanity for making this possible.
