Home

What does home mean to me? Home is a feeling: a place or a meal, a smell. Home is comfort and stress free. Home is when I come back from school and I am welcomed with the small of food. Home is when I am tired and I can go upstairs and snuggle into bed. Home is when i am free to draw whatever I might desire. Home is a place where I can ask any question or when I am having trouble people support me. Home is when I am surrounded by my friends and family. Home is when I am excepted and free. Home is when I come back from school and I can just sit down at my piano and play for hours. Home is when I hear the kettle boiling. Home is when I get under the covers about to fall asleep and my dog comes and jumps up onto my bed and snuggles up to me. Home is when I was a kid and I lived on Toronto Island, and I could walk outside of my house and see the skyline. Home is when I am at my cottage and I go fishing at my favourite spot in the lake with my dad stirring the kayak and me in the front. Home isn’t just a building. Home is feeling. Home is the people around me it is my happy place.
