Home Isn't Just a Word

Home isn’t just a word. It's your safe place and is a place your loved no matter what. We all have different places we call home. My home is my room! It's where I play games and listen to music! There is a difference between a house and home. A house is where people live with their relatives. A home is where people feel like they belong and can be themselves. Different rooms in a house can also be called home. Rooms like the kitchen, living room, bedroom, or a place outside. Maybe your home is your favorite restaurant, it's your home because it has yummy food or it's the library because reading is your thing and it's peaceful and quiet. Home is a place that keeps us safe. When it’s cold outside, the fireplace makes us warm. The kitchen has the beautiful smell of delicious food. Maybe it's pasta, or your favorite food! The family comes together to eat at the dinner table, you can talk and have so much fun! The living room is where you have fun playing board games, watching TV, indoor picnic, arts and crafts, or creative hobbits! Maybe movie nights make you so excited? Or even just telling jokes around the table? It's your choice. The last example is the bedroom. The bedroom has many activities like pillow fight, building a fort, drawing, reading, playing video games, dance, or singing! Or it's the homework on your desk you forgot to do! In your bedroom you could dress up yourself with your own style you like! The pictures on the wall are like little reminders for your childhood. There could be a picture of you as a baby, teenager, events, vacation, class photos, and etc. Its beautiful memories are everywhere reminding you about your life!
