Meaning of Home

Have you ever wondered what happens to homeless people? Because I have wondered but also seen it. To me, home means family and friends but also kindness where you can feel seen and loved. I grew up in Hamilton half of my life and everywhere I turned there would be at least 3 homeless people, and I know that my mom knows what it feels like to be unhoused. Having a house is a privilege, not a right. Some people get tired of all the stress and they just need something or someone to hold you and if you have a house and you live alone, the silence may help some people. For some people, they don't fully understand those who are unhoused, and that's the problem. When you wake up in the morning, do you smell fresh food? Do you smell nature as the birds happily sing? That's something some people don't have due to money problems, climate change, and tax.
