A Universal Feeling

Home is a universal feeling that everyone experiences in their own way. What does that mean? Well that means everyone has something they call home but home means something different to everyone. You're probably thinking… ok but where is home. For some it's a physical space like a house, apartment or outdoor space. For others it's a person or people like family or friends. It can even be an object like a family heirloom, a special blanket, or t-shirt Feelings and emotions. These two are what makes your home a home. To me my house is my home because I feel happy and loved when I have family pillow fights and we are all laughing and having fun. I also feel comfortable and that I can be my weird self when I'm dancing in the middle of the living room with no care in the world. My home is something I can fall back on. It's the first place I would go if I needed somewhere safe to be or somewhere to reset. Music can also bring you home by triggering past memories or playing that one christmas song that makes your whole home feel like christmas. I'm sure smells are a big part of what people consider home to be for them. For me its smelling my moms freshly baked muffins on a cold morning when I'm having trouble getting up. The feeling of home is the best feeling you can feel.
