The Meaning of home
H ome is one of the only places where I feel safe. I am grateful to have a home and feel bad for the other people who might possibly be homeless. Whenever I come home, I feel much safer than being out in the open, in the city or at school (no offense to teachers out there).
Home has a lot of things I love about it. My dog, my parents, my brother, my food, water, and my own room, where usually some people don’t have all of those, due to being homeless, or being in extreme poverty.
A home can be one of the only places where you can feel safe in the first place, due to there being a lot of bad people (on the internet, in public, etcetera).
When I get home, I immediately lay on my bed, flattening out from tiring things going about my day. I eat my dinner, which most families have trouble being able to do so.
So, that is the reason for why I am grateful to have so much while other families struggle. – Jack W. Riggle
