What Home Means to Me
What home is to me. A home and a house are different! A house can be anywhere in the world. And a house can be a friend's house, grandpa and grandma’s house, or an aunt and uncle’s house. But what home means to me is walls filled with pictures of memories that last forever in my mind, and the living room where everyone is laughing and loving the moment. There are pictures of everyone, plants sitting on the shelf, and decorations. Then the kitchen is where your favourite memories of making delicious food with your loved ones are. The memories of making food with your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and knowing that you nailed the recipe because it tastes so good, it gives you that feeling of home. Where no one can make it the same as you can. All of this feels like when you have a tough day, and come home, and want to scream, “Hello home!” It feels like it is also running to give you a big hug. Then you go in and hear your mom working and your dad on a call. You clean your lunch, run to your room as fast as you can, and jump on your bed - like it is your favourite place - grab a blanket and snuggle in. It just feels like home!
