Home Sweet Home

A home isn’t just a building. It’s not just walls and windows and a roof that keeps the rain out. A house is something you can see and touch. But a home is something you feel. When I walk through the door, I feel like I can finally relax. If I had a bad day at school or something went wrong, home is where I can take a deep breath. It's where I know no one is judging me. I can be myself and not worry. Sometimes when I feel scared or nervous, just being at home makes it better. I know I can talk to my family. I know someone will listen. Even sitting on the couch under a blanket makes me feel protected, like nothing bad can reach me. One thing that comforts me is dinner. Dinner isn’t just about the food. It’s about talking about our day and laughing at silly stories. It’s about being together in the same room. A home is where a family is. It’s where everyone sits around the table. It's where someone says, “Let’s play a game!” and everyone pretends like they don’t care, but they really do. It’s the sound of chairs moving and people arguing about who goes first. That’s what makes a home. It’s not the building. It’s the family, laughter, game nights, and the special moments we remember even when we grow up. Home is the place where you feel safe, loved, and like you belong.
