What Home Means to Me

Home is a place where you feel included, cared for, and loved. It is a place where you grow, make memories, and a safe place to return to when you are away from it. A home is more than just the place where you live, I will share what it means to me. Home is a cozy place where you can rest, read a book, or play your favourite games! To me, home is a place where your journey starts and a space where you start exploring opportunities and talents. It is also a comforting place. Like how I snuggle up beside the fireplace in winter drinking hot chocolate. Home is the place where you grow. Start small and get bigger like when I was in JK learning the alphabet to now learning and doing a lot more! It is a place for making and holding memories. Even though I have lived in a few different houses my memories are still with me and my family. Lots of good memories are made at home. Home is a place where you have good meals and talks. It is a place of laughter and fun like when my cousins come over to play, spending time with my brother, playing video games, and watching funny home videos from the past. It is also a place for many celebrations, including birthday and holiday parties. Home is a special place but not everyone has the opportunity to have one. This makes me sad as everyone deserves to have a safe place like home. It is where memories are made, people come together, and a place where we can always return to as we know it is there waiting for us. Those who have this safe place are lucky as there is no place like home.
