Home is Not Just a Place

If you did not already know, there is a big difference between a house and a home. A house is made from wood, glass, bricks and more. A house is a building and a place where anyone can live, but a home is different. A home is not just a place; it is a feeling. The feelings are different from others. The feelings are made by people. The people who make you feel warm, happy and silly. The people are friends or family. Home sounds like my family talking or my dogs barking. It feels warm and safe, like nobody can hurt me. It looks like my family and I are smiling. It smells like the good food on my table and my mom making homemade pizza. It tastes like cold water on a hot day or freshly baked cookies. Home is a feeling. Home is a feeling you cannot explain. My home is only a home for me.
