The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home is not about the bricks that are built, what makes it a home is that your family is there, a house and a home are two different things, a house is a building with no memories in it yet, a home is a place with tons of old and new memories in it. My family is my home, they are always there for me when I need them, like when I am sad or scared, or just not feeling like myself. They always know what to do or say to comfort me so that I know everything is going to be ok. My family and I love spending time together whether it is going places like the mall, the zoo, or traveling or just staying home to watch movies or play games. When there is a tv series or movies my mom and i want to watch we plan a whole day and set up a tray of goodies ( chocolate, mozza sticks,chips etc…) and a comfy place to sit and have a tv or movie marathon. Our backyard is full of beautiful birds and I love hearing them sing every morning. I love the smell of dinner cooking and when my dog meets me at the door when I get home from school. I love watching the snow and rain fall from my bedroom window. Having a safe home is a basic human right because everyone deserves to have somewhere, where they can feel happy, healthy and loved by being valued and supported.
