The Meaning of Home

What does home mean to me? Home means so many things to me. For starters, it means nothing and everything. A home does not require 4 walls and it can be located anywhere. A home is filled with emotion, joy, happiness, sadness and even embarrassment. Home is filled with memories, routines and traditions. Home is a place to thrive and grow. It’s a variety of sizes, big or small. All that matters about this place of yours, is that it is filled with all the people that love you. Home can be various locations, your house, or maybe a family member’s or friend’s. Anywhere you feel safe and loved. Attempting to explain what home means is nearly impossible. Everyone thinks of home differently, maybe it’s where you live, but for some it’s where you grow, and come out of your shell, to find out who you really are. Because, the only person with the answer to that is you. Home is the most amazing thing to be gifted with. It is to love and cherish for as long as you live. Having the privilege to call someplace home, with people who love you is one of the greatest feelings in earth. love that strong you could conquer anything together. Life like that is worth living for. Having family like that is the thing i am most thankful for in life. Whether it’s a family road trip or just sitting in silence. I feel I am not worthy of my family's presence. When someone says the word “home” what do you think of? I think of, baking with family, nighttime pillow fights, binge watching sit coms or tv shows. Home is an extraordinary feeling. In conclusion, for me, home was the missing puzzle piece, and now i'm complete.
