What Home Means to Me

Imagine stepping into a place where right away you feel loved, safe, and feel like you belong there, well that's home. Home can look or feel different by colour, texture or size but feel, that's different because for me, my home feels like a place i belong, feel supported and feel loved/safe, That might be what home feels like for you but in a different way because if you were to go into my house you wouldn’t feel that. Home isn’t only that but a lot more like for example where you have a bunch of memories from when you were younger, older, with family, neighbors and friends!! If I was at school I would be super happy, excited to go home because my family is there and the things I love are there. Also when i said “Safe” i didn’t just mean that the doors are always locked, It actually means where you can trust your family or the people there even where you're comfortable being at like you can go there anytime and be yourself! Home makes me remember that I can rely on the people there in my home like my family and friends but I can also talk to them and tell the truth about what happens at school, outside, on vacation or field trip etc. Now lets say you move far away from home and you have a lot of memories there, But don’t worry because you can always make new memories with your new friends, neighbours and your same family! But there's one important thing and that is that your home will always remain in your heart! Remember that you're lucky to have a home because not everyone has a home like you do so spend lots of time in your home and make lots of memories because you’ll never know what happens next!
