Meaning of Home

My home is like a person, my best friend. While other people may see it as a building, I see it as my comfort place when I am sad or overwhelmed. Home is like a blanket, it keeps me, my family and my pets warm at night. My home keeps me, my pets and my family safe when there are storms or when it is hot outside. Sometimes my home is there for me when I am sad. Sometimes my home is there so I can play Nerf-guns with my brother, or play with my puppies. When I come home and it has been a stress-filled day I feel like I could just flop over and cry because I am tired. Then I feel like I can talk to my home. When I was little I would break things, but as I grew up I realized it hurts my home. And I have realized how important home is. Home isn't just a place to dump my stuff, home is a place to settle. My home might not be fancy and have 4 floors, in fact my home only has a main floor and a basement and that is all I need for a home. I know my home will protect me, my sisters, my brother, my parents and my pets. My home holds everything I need: all my food, toys, furniture, friends, family and pets. Sometimes I think, what if my home burnt down, what would I do? What could I do? If my home burnt down, I would have nothing, no bed, roof no home. All my life would be burnt. What if my house was burning down and I couldn't get my puppies out and I never saw them again. I’d be forever heart broken.
